Knurr announces custom cooling solutions for rack enclosures

knurr, the producer of electronics enclosures, control room consoles, and mobile carts, recently announced that it has produced 19-inch network server enclosures and custom electronics enclosures with advanced air cooling and lighting features.

knurr has released new cooling technology for its 19-inch racks. (knurr)

the company recently began delivering 19-inch network server racks with digitally controlled cooling systems that can be easily accessed and monitored on the top covers and sides of the enclosures. these systems can be adjusted individually or in groups and have active sensors and digital target controls to maintain ideal system temperatures.

knurr said that it also added led lighting solutions for its server racks that will improve visibility for users on the back end of the racks. the lights will be triggered automatically when the back side of the enclosure is accessed.

these developments will be available on all of knurr’s enclosures, according to extron, which is the north american distributor and manufacturer of knurr’s products.

extron's vice president of business development, randy duke, commented, "this enhancement to knurr's award-winning line of enclosures is an example of the types of custom engineering work knurr can offer its oem and end-user clients.  we're very excited to offer this option to our customers."

sandeep duggal, extron's ceo, added, "knurr's world-class lineup of 19" racks and custom electronics enclosures is the platform of choice for oem's and end-users who are building and deploying the next generation of electronics.  to complement that, our product engineering capabilities can yield innovative solutions like these, resulting in enclosures that are the perfect environment for their mission-critical electronics."
