cooler master's heat pipe family includes 1mm thick "ultra-slim", dual diameter heat pipes and loop heat pipes. the ultra-slim products are focused on mobile applications where both size and performance are crucial. the dual diameter heat pipes are engineered for applications that require high performance but at a reduced weight. applications requiring multiple traditional heat pipes can see a 25% reduction in the number of heat pipes when replacing them with cooler master dual-diameter. cooler master is working with oem's in led, telecommunications, cloud computing and mobile computing with their oem heat pipe line. the cooler master ultra-slim line's design point is specifically for mobile applications. their heat pipes are made from copper. the wick structure is a combination of sintering copper powder wick and grooved wick. water is used as the working fluid. thickness ranges from 1.2mm to 2.0mm.

cooler master's dual diameter heat pipe utilizes a two size design to optimize the evaporator and the condenser parts of the heat pipe. on the evaporator end, an expanded diameter design coupled with a powdered wick structure improves conduction.

cooler master has been able to demonstrate improved price performance over traditional heat pipes as seen in this example:
a previous cooler master retail heat sink has four 6mm heat-pipes on the module. cooler master modified the design, and latest proposal is a module with 3 dual diameter heatpipes. those two modules have the same performance but the latest proposal will lower the cost.
cooler master's loop heat pipes are engineered for applications where heat needs to be transferred a relatively long distance away from the heat source. they are also useful for applications where multiple bends create a need for a longer length. this last part of the cooler master family features the wick only in the evaporator part of the heat pipe, which cooler master tests have demonstrated results in low flow resistance.
