captherma has announced they have been awarded two ‘2015 ces innovations design and engineering awards’ for the big brother of mp-1120 the new and improved mp-1240. the award is in two categories – computer accessories & gaming hardware and accessories.

mp-1240 features the same benefits as mp-1120 but with improved performance through a larger heat exchanger with the ability to run a total of up to four fans offering leading edge thermal performance.


the mp-1240 is rated to handle semiconductors up to 325 watts.the technology for the mp-1240 uses phase change material, a heat exchange and fans for a self contained system.  explosive welding is used as part of the manufacturing process to create the cooling units unique tri-metal heat sink.
