WesTherm Product Highlight Complete Line of Thermal Interface Material [video]

[see video at bottom of this industry news]

westherm, thermal management product line consists of multiple product families that include thermal pads, phase change materials and thermal interface materials.  the thermal management materials have been engineered to provide an effective thermal interface between heat sinks and electronic devices. westherm's materials are thicker, thermally conductive, gap filling materials are available in sizes ranging from .010 inch to .250 inch thick. engineers have specified westherms advanced gap filling materials to help eliminate air gaps between heat generating devices and a chassis. the versatile gap filler material may also be used in heat pipe assemblies, signal amplifiers and even as a vibration isolation material. engineers have even used westherms gap filler to completely eliminate the use of cooling fans in electronic enclosures.

westherm film

our line of products include general purpose silicones as well as fiberglass-reinforced and ceramic particle-filled film, which provide cushioning for electronic components. our aluminum foil coated films are superior replacements for thermal grease compounds. we also offer a kapton® and silcone composite film, which can be a lower cost replacement for ceramic insulators.

westherm conformable gap filler

pliable, fully-cured, with high heat-conducting characteristics. these general purpose silicone gel materials that are highly conformable and excellent for filling air gaps and uneven surfaces. some of these materials are available in other constructions, which prevent stretching and allow for distortion-free handling.

westherm ultra conformable gap filler

pliable, fully-cured, general purpose silicones that are highly conformable and excellent for filling air gaps and uneven surfaces. these materials can be placed between semiconductors or magnetic components and heat sinks, or used for heat transfer to heat spreaders such as chassis or frames.

westherm extreme conductivity gap filler

these high heat-conducting gel products are pliable, fully cured, general purpose silicones that adhere to most components of varying shapes and sizes, regardless of minute voids and irregularities.

westherm thermal form-in-place

thermally conductive, high viscosity-type silicone gap fillers. these materials are applied as putties and adhere to most components.  our form-in-place products are also highly conformable with excellent vibration absorption characteristics, and are good choices for use with electronic devices.

westherm putty

highly conformable silicones ideal for filling small air gaps and mating uneven surfaces. applications include thermal transfer from a cpus, semiconductors or chassis walls to heat sinks, or thermal transfer from components to heat spreaders.

westherm non-silicone

a very thin, non-flammable, silicone-free material made from acrylate resin and thermal conductive fillers. this material’s thermal conductivity is 1.5 watt/m-k, so it has lower thermal resistance. available in four thicknesses.
