gentherm, the global market leader and developer of innovative thermal management technologies, announced that it has been selected for a next generation mercedes-benz car line in the upper or luxury segment.

this award represents gentherm's first advanced seat comfort system program with a major premium luxury german brand. first shipments are scheduled to begin in early 2020.

president and chief executive officer daniel r. coker said, "daimler ag has long been a valued partner in seat comfort technology and other products. we currently provide many seat heaters for mercedes-benz cars; however, this is the first time we have successfully worked together on a climate seat. we appreciate the opportunity to contribute our expertise in thermal technologies."
