phoozy, the newest case on the market, is offering a solution to all of the potential causes of damage by wrapping your phone in a thermal capsule to protect from the sun, extreme heat and freezing cold, but also boasting military-grade drop protection and ability to float if dropped in water.
according to the product site, “the phoozy is made from materials that were developed to protect astronauts from the extreme environment of space and helps maintain optimum operating temperature of your smartphone. it also provides an extra layer of drop protection, whether you drop it on the ground or in the ocean.”
the case is essentially a pouch. the chromium shell reflects 90 percent of solar radiation, called the “ultimate thermonuclear protection” by exclaim ip, which produced the case. it also has an impact core layer that protects the phone from impact damage and acts as a float in water.
the spacetech penetration layer is used to keep astronauts safe and on the phoozy it keeps your phone protected and insulated. there is also a soft touch protective layer on the interior to encapsulate the touchscreen and protect arguably the phone’s most fragile components.
as an article from digital trends explained, “the phoozy accomplishes all this while maintaining your phone’s safe operating temperature. of course, you’ll have to take it out to use it, which is a downside. but if you have a particularly active lifestyle, you won’t need to worry about your $700 investment being destroyed as you’re getting on with the rest of your life. and that offers some valuable peace of mind.”
the phoozy retails for $30 and has pouches to fit different-sized phones. there are also two color options.
