San Francisco, Calif.-based Lithos Energy recently announced the release of its newest generation of high-voltage, liquid-cooled battery packs, the Lithos Gen4, which offer higher efficiency for electric vehicles and industrial applications.

“Lithos Gen4 Technology is a breakthrough for the electric vehicle and industrial high-voltage battery market,” said James Meredith, co-president of Lithos Energy. “We have combined the best attributes from projects across multiple industries to offer significant improvements in both energy and power density, in a product that is rapidly scalable to high-volume production.”

The new battery pack provides additional safety features, including a passive system for propagation resistance that prevents thermal runaway. It also has a redesigned liquid cooling system hat improves thermal consistency across the pack, which extends operating life.

“Copper interconnects, along with improved thermal management, provide for longer peak-current pulse times with less voltage sag, resulting in better vehicle performance,” the press release claims.

The battery packs are available in four form factors and can be customized to meet high energy and high power requirements.
