we've recently been in touch with lekshmi joseph and clark stacey, both of u.k.'s national physical laboratory. we ran into them both on the linked in/thermal analysis group, one of the engineering groups coolingzone contributes to regularly. in our conversation we learned that they are running a survey and would like the help of coolingzone readers.
the national physical laboratory, uk (npl) develops national measurement facilities for providing thermo physical property data used in thermal modelling of engineering applications. npl mathematicians also contribute to standards and best practise in evaluating the sensitive of thermal models to uncertainty in property data.
but the want to know from the thermal management and heat transfer industry about our take on thermal modelling; such as how often engineering perform this work and how important modeling is. through their survey, they are trying to get industry input on this subject and dependent on the outcome, npl are planning to develop a strategy to help the industry in achieving better results using their national measurement facilities.
this survey contains 28 questions which will take maximum 10 minutes to complete. the survey is planned to be pen for another 8 weeks. to participate, visit this link: http://www.surveymonkey.com/s/nafems
