cooingzone 2014 is honored to have the national science foundation center for energy smart electronic systems., present on "emerging trends in data center thermal management". coolingzone 2014 is being held october 20-21, 2014. click here for the main conference page and more information on registering and the full schedule.
the u.s. data center power usage was 11.55gw in 2013 and outsourced data center utilization is at 90%. data centers powering cloud computing are going to grow, but with all that equipment how are we going to cool them efficiently and cost effectively?
this track features a panel from the nsf center for energy smart electronic systems. panelists include professor al ortega, professor yogi joshi (georgia tech) and professor dereje agonafer (univ texas-arlington). the discussion will focus on the research of the center and emerging trends in data center thermal management including (i.) advances in modeling complex air flow in data center components such as tiles, (ii.) dynamic close-coupled on-demand cooling solutions such as overhead and in-row cooling, (iii.) advances in liquid immersion and liquid cold plate cooling, (iv.) coupling liquid cooling solutions with waste energy recovery from servers.
speaker's in this track presenting: - alfonso ortega, ph.d.,(villanova university) - yogi joshi, ph.d. (georgia tech) - minami yoda, ph.d., (georgia tech) - dereje agonafer, ph.d.. (univ texas-arlington)
