kulr technology demonstrated new applications for its proprietary carbon fiber thermal management at the annual semi-therm 33 conference in san jose, calif., particularly a thermal interface material and heat capacitor, which the company has applied to the aerospace industry for a number of years and that is now being produced for consumer electronics.

in its announcement of the semi-therm appearance, the company outlined several benefits that its carbon-fiber materials provide:

• low contact pressure applications
• highly flexible interface features and benefits
• slide interface applications for applications such as network plugs
• features and applications of pcm heat capacitor
• portable laser projector cooling solution
• embedded camera module solution

kulr ceo michael mo said, “our heat solutions are quite unique and effective so we definitely expect to generate some buzz and interest both at the conference and throughout the industry.”

mo added, “the carbon fiber based systems we’ll be sharing at semi-therm are real game changers because they are lighter, more flexible and frankly better than traditional metal or adhesive solutions.”

an article on newswatchtv.com noted that the san diego, calif.-based company, which was founded in 2013 by engineers with more than 30 years of experience in the aerospace industry, has worked with the likes of boeing, nasa, raytheon, jpl and others.
